Troubleshooting · Repair · Straight Answers

Lost your water? Let's find out why.

We troubleshoot and fix what you've already got — windmill, submersible or turbine — and give you a straight answer on whether to repair the old rig or set something new. Whoever installed it, we can work on it.

When the tank's dry and the trough's empty, you don't need a lecture — you need water back. We've spent years chasing down why wells quit all over this ranch country, and most of the time the fix is smaller and cheaper than folks fear. Give us a call and we'll figure out what's wrong before we talk about what it costs.

When something's not right

Water trouble shows up in a handful of familiar ways. Any of these sound like your place, pick up the phone:

How we track it down

We start at the top and work down the hole. That means checking the obvious first — power, the pressure switch, the tank's air charge — before anything gets pulled. A lot of "dead pump" calls turn out to be a bad switch, a waterlogged tank or a tripped breaker, and there's no sense pulling two hundred feet of pipe to find that out. When the trouble really is down the well, we pull it, look at it, and show you exactly what failed.

Before you call, check three things

Is the breaker tripped? Has the pressure switch got power and is it clicking? On a windmill, is the tail latched out or the brake set? Knowing those answers saves us both time on the phone — but if you're not sure, don't worry about it. Finding out is our job.

What we repair

We work across every kind of water system on a Central Texas place, whether we set it or somebody else did:

Repair it, or replace it — honestly

Every well owner eventually faces the same question, and we'll give you a straight answer instead of a sales pitch. Often the old rig is worth fixing — the parts are still made, the tower and casing are sound, and a repair puts water back for a fraction of a new setup. Other times you've replaced the same worn-out part three times and it's throwing good money after bad, or the site's changed and a submersible or a solar pump in the same hole just makes more sense. We've done all of it, and we'll tell you which one belongs on your place — even when the honest answer is the cheaper one.

Common Questions

Questions we hear when the water quits

My water quit — what do I check first?
Start with the simple stuff: is the breaker tripped, does the pressure switch have power and is it clicking, and is the pressure tank waterlogged? On a windmill, make sure the tail's latched in and the brake's off. If those look fine, the trouble's likely down the hole — that's where we come in.
Do you work on pumps and windmills you didn't install?
Yes, all the time. It doesn't matter who set it or how long ago — windmill, submersible or turbine, we'll troubleshoot it and fix it. Most of our repair calls are on rigs somebody else put in years back.
How fast can you come out?
We know a dry well can't wait, and we do our best to get out quickly, especially when livestock or a household is out of water. Call us, tell us what's happening, and we'll give you an honest timeframe — not a runaround.
Repair or replace — how do you decide?
We look at what actually failed, the condition of the rest of the system, and what you're paying to keep patching it. If the old rig's sound and the fix is real, we repair it. If you're chasing the same failure over and over, or the site's outgrown the setup, we'll lay out the replacement honestly — and let you make the call.
